Happy Sunday! I'm a little later in my writing this week. Last week was quite jam-packed, so I wanted to just give you a bit of a snapshot of what happened:
- Monday was pretty normal, mostly spent working on my CCEF class and researching job postings. Hopefully I can have more to share in the coming weeks 🙏🏻
- Tuesday I went to our church's presbytery meeting in Orlando, and I found out that there's a small contingent of pastors that love to use fountain pens. I started using a fountain pen about a year ago for my bullet journal, mostly for daily notes and lists. There is something about taking the time to uncap a fountain pen, grip it in just the right way, and let the nib glide along the paper that makes me seem to slow down and bring an intentionality to what I am writing down. It was fun to learn that others share that hobby, and are far deeper down the rabbit hole than I am! ✒️
- Wednesday and Thursday, I helped my dad with installing two bathroom vanities up in Cocoa Beach. It's quite a hike from where we live, but I'm glad that I get to still help him with projects like this.
- Friday was a bit of a reset day, spent working on my class and attending my small group that evening. Perfect because Saturday was a long day!
- Saturday was spent with a group of about twenty high school students at Rock the Universe, a Christian music festival that has been held at Universal Studios Florida since 1998. We got there at around 3:30 and didn't leave until 11, but we had a great group of students and chaperones. Some people were there for the first time! The immersion in Diagon Alley is always amazing, but it's even greater to see the look on someone's face when they enter it for the first time. Phil Wickham was one of the main artists that performed, and he didn't disappoint! I'll include a highlight reel below 🎸
